Welcome to the Abode Home Services platform.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the relationship between Abode Home Services, LLC, an Ohio limited liability company (“Abode,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), and users of our services, including homeowners seeking home services (“Homeowners”) and home service professionals (“Pros”).
These Terms apply to all services provided through:

- abodeimprove.com
- and all websites operated within the Abode content and lead generation network (collectively referred to as the “Platform”).
By using the Platform, submitting a project request, purchasing leads, or otherwise engaging with Abode Home Services, you agree to these Terms.

2. Description of Services
Abode operates a lead marketplace platform designed to connect homeowners seeking home improvement services with independent home service professionals.
Through the Platform:
Homeowners may submit requests for home service projects.
Abode collects and distributes those requests as exclusive leads to qualified Pros.
Pros may purchase leads or calls generated through the Platform.
Abode operates nationwide and may expand or modify services at any time.
Abode does not perform home improvement services, and is not a contractor, installer, or service provider.
3. Business Categories
Abode works with a variety of home improvement and home services categories.
A current list of supported service categories is available at:
aboderight.com/categories/
Abode may add, remove, or modify categories at its discretion.
4. Exclusive Lead Model
Abode generally operates an exclusive lead program, meaning:
A homeowner request is typically delivered to one Pro per lead.
Exclusive leads may include web leads, phone calls, or other lead types.
However, Abode reserves the right to modify distribution methods when necessary for operational, geographic, or demand reasons.
5. Homeowner Terms
By submitting a request through the Platform, Homeowners agree to:
Provide accurate project and contact information.
Submit requests only for legitimate home service needs.
Communicate with Pros in good faith.
Homeowners understand and agree that:
Pros are independent contractors.
Abode does not endorse, guarantee, or supervise Pros.
Any service agreement is solely between the Homeowner and the Pro.
Abode is not responsible for project outcomes, pricing, workmanship, or warranties provided by Pros.
6. Pro Participation
Pros may participate in the Platform by purchasing leads or calls generated by Abode.
Lead pricing and fee structures are available at:
https://aboderight.com/pros/fees/
Pros may purchase:
Project leads.
Inbound calls.
Other lead types offered through the Platform.
Participation may require an executed agreement with Abode.
7. Contractor Requirements
Pros using the Platform must:
Maintain all licenses required by applicable law.
Maintain appropriate insurance coverage.
Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations.
Conduct business professionally and ethically.
Pros may be subject to background checks or verification processes at Abode’s discretion.
Pros may not represent themselves as employees or agents of Abode.
8. Lead Ownership and Use Restrictions
All leads generated through the Platform remain the property of Abode Home Services, LLC.
Pros agree that they:
May not resell leads.
May not transfer leads to other contractors.
May only use homeowner information for the specific project inquiry submitted.
Pros may not harvest or store homeowner data for unrelated marketing purposes.
Unauthorized use of lead data may result in immediate suspension or termination.
9. Lead Refund Policy
Abode recognizes that errors can occur and provides a limited dispute process.
Refunds may be granted in the following cases:
Invalid or disconnected homeowner phone numbers.
Phone numbers that are incorrect or unreachable.
Requests submitted by non-homeowners.
Project requests that are significantly outside the category scope.
Example: A request for repairing broken window glass submitted to a window replacement contractor.
All disputes must be submitted:
Within 10 days of lead receipt.
Through the Pro Portal.
Submit disputes at:
aboderight.com/pros/sign-in/
Abode reserves the sole discretion to approve or deny refund requests.
Leads will not be refunded due to:
No answer from homeowner.
Homeowner choosing another contractor.
Homeowner delaying or cancelling a project.
10. Payment Terms
Pros agree to maintain a valid credit card on file for billing.
Abode may automatically charge the card on file:
On or near the 1st.
On or near the 10th.
On or near the 30th.
Billing includes lead purchases, call charges, or other applicable fees.
Additional terms may be included in each Pro’s executed agreement.
11. Late Payments
Payments more than 15 days past due may incur a 15% late fee.
If a credit card payment fails, Abode will notify the Pro promptly.
Accounts with unpaid balances may be suspended until payment is resolved.
12. Chargebacks
Attempting to initiate a chargeback for valid charges may result in:
Immediate account suspension.
Permanent removal from the Platform.
Additional collection action where applicable.
13. Prohibited Conduct
Pros may not:
Harvest homeowner data for unrelated marketing.
Resell or transfer leads.
Impersonate Abode or represent themselves as Abode employees.
Violate telemarketing or consumer protection laws.
Engage in deceptive or abusive practices toward homeowners.
Violation of these rules may result in immediate account termination.
14. Platform Availability
Abode makes reasonable efforts to maintain reliable service but does not guarantee uninterrupted access.
The Platform may occasionally experience:
Maintenance outages.
Technical interruptions.
Changes to features or pricing.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Abode shall not be liable for:
The performance of contractors.
Quality of workmanship.
Project disputes.
Property damage.
Financial losses resulting from contractor relationships.
Abode’s services are limited to connecting homeowners with Pros.
Any service agreement is solely between the homeowner and the Pro.
16. Indemnification
Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless Abode Home Services, LLC from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising from:
Their use of the Platform.
Violations of these Terms.
Disputes between homeowners and Pros.
17. Suspension or Termination
Abode may suspend or terminate accounts at its discretion for:
Fraud or abuse.
Non-payment.
Regulatory violations.
Misuse of homeowner data.
Repeated homeowner complaints.
18. Anti-Circumvention
Pros agree not to attempt to bypass the Platform by:
Soliciting homeowners introduced through Abode for unrelated projects.
Attempting to avoid applicable lead fees.
Using homeowner data obtained through Abode for outside lead transactions.
19. Intellectual Property
All website content, technology, data systems, and branding associated with the Platform are the property of Abode Home Services, LLC.
Users may not reproduce, distribute, or reverse engineer Platform technologies without written permission.
20. Changes to Terms
Abode may update these Terms periodically.
Updated Terms will be posted on the Platform with a revised “Last Updated” date.
Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
21. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio.
Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved within the jurisdiction of Ohio courts unless otherwise required by law.
